The Sandwich Factory Stockport

This afternoon I went into The Sandwich Factory and asked for a cup of soup. As I waited I saw the girl serving pour the soup into a polystyrene cup then proceed to wipe around the rim of the and the body of the cup with a dirty dishcloth!

I said I wasn't going to drink out of that to which both members of staff present became rude and clearly ignorant of food safety standards replied 'it's clean'. This was a dishcloth they were using. I replied nothing is clean to which the two attendants decided to start patronising me, which resulted in me going elsewhere.

Excuse me for not wanting to end up with some horrendous stomach bug because I didn't want to drink from a cup that had been cleaned with a dirty dish cloth. You don't need a food hygiene certificate to know that germs and bacteria multiply at a phenomenal rate.

If this is the standard of cleanliness they are prepared to demonstrate in front of their customers, God knows what goes on behind the scenes.

Avoid like the plague, unless of course you want to start spreading one.

The manageress however got patronising with me, repeating what I said to her to her employee but in a condescending manner, so I walked out. Pretty poor hygiene practise in my view. After posting a review on another website, there has since been a number of clearly false reviews added in a cheap attempt to counter what I said. Furthermore the manageress has then the absolute nerve to then respond to my review saying how alarmed she is that I'm airing my view in public! We'll excuse me! What an outright cheek this manageress has to not only disrespect her customers, but she then complains as if you haven't the right to do so. Terrible place to visit, let alone eat from.
