1st Home Delivery Whitchurch, Cardiff

Having used 1st Home Delivery twice and been pleased with both food and service, it was a shock to wait 3 hours for delivery last Saturday.

When I phoned to question where the food was, I found the girl quite abrupt - it was almost a case of - the food is with the driver - we've done our bit - so that was that !

Needless to say, we will source another delivery service for the future.

Do not use these people had a hair in our meal reheated chips and the final straw was when the chiken in the curry tasted weird to find it wasnt cooked and was raw in the middle!!!!

My partner and I can never agree on what to have - Chinese or Indian? Well here you can have both! I wanted to write a review because we think it's absoutely great! I was eating a lovely sweet and sour while my fella had a curry - the reason it's not got the full 5 is because it wasn't quite piping hot when received - which was easily remmedied! Going back for seconds!

Menu looked amazing the food was awful, was so dissapointed was full of salt and no flavours. I would never ever order from here again !!!

Well I only gave them one star because I couldn't leave no stars.
Waited 2 AND A HALF HOURS for food to arrive. When phoned to see what was happening, the staff were barely helpful. No one rang to explain what was happening. When it finally arrived, the delivery driver would not give a discount. Never had such appalling service from a take out. Nice food though. BUT AWFUL SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waited an hour and a half rang twice when food finally came it was cold with parts missing from order.

Food arrived an hour late, stone cold, revolting and missing some of the order. When phoned to complain the staff member was rude. Arranged for the driver to collect our food and bring a refund. No one turned up.

Called again the next day, spoke to the same rude worker who repeatedly lied. Refused to let me speak to her superior claiming that he was too busy and then hung up on me.

Order from here at your own peril!

2 and a half hours late, driver had no change said that we either had to give them money and wait for the driver to bring the change back or we'd have to find a way to get the right change. Absolutely pathetic. Had an incredibly heated argument with a rude, dimwitted, unintelligent woman . We ended up leaving the food, and they lost all the money.

I ordered food at 7.00pm and it was delivered at 8.35pm. Firstly the food was cold and had to be re-heated, secondly they forgot some of the food. The final straw was eat my rice and had sharp metal stuck in the roof of my mouth. When i telephoned them they offered me £10 off my next food bill!!!! What a waste of food that i had thrown away. Please do not order from here.

Awful service when food hadn't left the building half an hour after they said it'd be with me (at the longest). That was an hour and a half after ordering.
They couldn't give me a receipt number for the refund as they do it at the end of the night?!!
I'll be surprised if I see that refund

I'm surprised to read the other reviews and found it a lot better than most other takeaways ive tried; which comprise chopped up carrot and peas etc -British versions of Chinese food. The food is great though portions aren't huge, but if you order more, you can use the vouchers -so it's no more expensive than anywhere else.Also, ive actually been to the address and was surprised what a busy operation it was- the delivery times are usually quite long, but its because they are producing hundreds of orders.

Food came cold and looked and tasted bland. I ate 1/4 and found a white hair in mine and couldn't eat any more, my girlfriend ate less than 1/4 of hers. At 2am my girlfriend was violently sick twice, I had a bad stomach. No doubt it was from the Chinese. Keep well clear, the flyer we got through didn't mention the name of the restaurant its now "delicious Chinese & Indian specialties". It goes great lengths to say under new management, and after seeing these reviews I now know why. KEEP CLEAR!

The driver arrived 1hr 30 mins after order.

The food was lukewarm (including the coca-cola!).

Rice was poor and bajiis were dry.

We ate a small amount and threw the rest away. I rang the takeaway and they were not prepared to refund further. I said I would be forced to write reviews of my experience and the owner told me that wouldn't affect him!

They are rude, late and the food is poor.

This is quite easily the worst takeaway my wife and I have ever had - total waste of money, flavourless and tiny portions - I called and complained.. Offered me a free meal when I ordered next - explained I won't be EVER - garbage - stick to conventional Chinese takeaways!!

Consistently below average meals, but the main issue is the late and incomplete deliveries.. This used to be the only takeaway that delivered to us, but thank goodness we have more options now. Menus and vouchers go straight on the bin ( as did most of the meals )

Sometimes being given an estimated 2 hour wait for your food has to be accepted, and in a way you have some respect for the 'honesty'. 3 and a half hours later however with a hungry tired family is just not on. Also, when calling for an update it would be nice for an apology or some explanation, not just "it's on it's way". Bad service, bad staff, cold late food.
